Prepare Your Lawn for a Spring Wedding

If you are searching for an ideal wedding venue, you do not have to look far. Your own lawn is great for holding the ceremony and reception. The perfect season to celebrate this special day is spring, when the climate is cool and the flowers are in full bloom. As early as autumn, you have to prepare your lawn for your wedding. This way, you can make sure that the place will be breathtaking.

Starting the first week of September, you need to plant shrubs or trees so they will have enough time to develop roots before spring begins. You have to prepare the soil in the fall since it is easier to cultivate because the ground is not yet frozen.

The best flowers for autumn planting are chrysanthemums, pansies, and snapdragons. To help them survive the cold climate during winter, apply a slow-releasing fertiliser and water them regularly. You can stop doing these chores in the middle of the cold season. You can nourish your lawn grass even in the biting cold of autumn and winter. This is done through spreading a winterising agent, a special fertiliser used to support root growth from September to February. It helps to protect the grass from the harsh climate so it will come out green and healthy in spring.

The winter months can also be damaging to your home. In order to prepare your house for the spring wedding, you need to protect your plumbing and electrical system from freezing. You can do this by installing a heating system. When spring comes, you need to carry out general cleaning to organise everything before the special day arrives.
